We welcome orthodontic specialists to join as soon as you become a resident, or at any time during your career. In this video, a few Orthodontic Residents explained what they enjoy most about membership, mentorship and attending the FAO Annual Session. In 2023, we spoke with Dr. Calogero Dolce, Professor & Chair of Orthodontics at the University of Florida, about the benefits of getting involved in your professional association while in Residency.

About Us

Founded in 1940, the Florida Association of Orthodontists is one of the largest associations within the American Association of Orthodontists, and we are the largest state association within the Southern Association of Orthodontists, representing more than 600 orthodontists throughout the state of Florida. We are dedicated to improving the art and science of orthodontics. To do so, every March we offer many hours of continuing education at the FAO Annual Session as well as expanded duties certification courses for staff members throughout the year, across the state.

The FAO 2024-2025 President is Dr. Arghavan Welch from Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. In this video, she shared with us what she values about membership.
